The expression of terroir naturally stems from the ripeness of the berries. It relies on a demanding approach to vineyard management and on maintaining naturally controlled yields.
We work across a wide range of parcels, reflecting different expressions of limestone and clay, located on some of the finest terroirs of the Blaye region. Our vines are on average around thirty years old, with some plots over a century old. We favour massal selection.
Respect for the soils and the surrounding environment is essential to us. Natural grass cover is maintained, chemical inputs are avoided, and we are currently undergoing conversion to organic farming.
We mainly cultivate Merlot, the emblematic grape of the region, alongside Malbec, which has shaped its history and which we strongly believe will also play a major role in its future. These varieties are well suited to our climate, our soils, and the style of wines we seek to produce.
We also work several parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
